Develop An Unshakable Wild Spirit And Feel A Connection With Nature Like You’ve Never Experienced Before.

As a female hunter, I am constantly creating new ways to contribute to the rise of females in our male-dominated industry. According to National Geographic, there are 13.7 million hunters in the United States, and the vast majority are men.

From an advertising & marketing standpoint, it makes perfect sense for hunting brands to target men.  After-all, over 90% of hunting shows and product ambassadors are men.

What This Means For Women

For women, this could not present a better opportunity to stand out, make a name for yourself and make an impact on not only brands and companies – but passionate women just like you from all around the country.

Rather than letting men have the spotlight, now is the time for us to rise to the occasion and let our passion for the outdoors shine through.

What I Can Do

I believe getting more women involved in hunting truly lies in the hands of women that have already discovered the rewards of being a hunter. You can increase female participation in the outdoors by doing two things: providing encouragement and being a positive inspiration.

From my experience, there are many women who love the outdoors and touching on the subject can strike up a conversation that will last hours. Exchanging experiences and stories of adventures past can blossom new friendships and make existing ones stronger.

Encouraging women who already have an interest in the outdoors is easy. However, you may ask yourself, “How do I approach women that haven’t approached me?”

For starters, approach those you feel comfortable with first – family and friends. Hosting a wild game dinner in your home for close friends and family can be the ultimate ice breaker and team building activity. The “wild game” theme presents the perfect opportunity to introduce attendees to the story of how you harvested the evening’s meal. Such gatherings present a great opportunity to invite those interested to join you in the outdoors.

How You Can Make A Difference

  • Lead by example – Share your outdoor experiences. Highlight the positive, touch on negative experiences and what you learned from them. Share pictures and write a vivid story on your wild adventure.
  • Reveal the rewards – Aside from what many consider boasting… this goes beyond photos with harvests and sharing experiences with family and friends in the outdoors. I’m talking about doing what God designed you to do – developing a wild spirit, becoming one with nature and making a positive impact on others.
  • Support others – I think it’s so refreshing to see positivity in this industry. At times social media seems to be driven by negativity, especially towards women. Luckily, my experiences with other women in the outdoors on social media has been 100% positive.  It makes me so happy when other women lift me up during hard times. Whether through a phone call, texting me personally, or simply commenting on my content – the support is an incredible feeling. I make it my daily ritual to compliment and lift others up when I see the opportunity to do so.

There are no distractions in the wild. Your connection with the sights and sounds of the wild bring and overwhelming sensation of harmony to your heart and mind.

Ladies, will you join me in accepting the challenge of helping women discover their wild spirit?

Will you help guide women to the outdoors?

Sunrise in the Wild

Sunrise in the Wild

Growing up in rural, west Alabama, I was immersed in the outdoor lifestyle at a very young age by my granddaddy. He taught me how to bait a hook, cluck on a box call, and be his “little hunting buddy.” Later in life, I developed my own passion for conservation and picked up bow hunting. I also learned that here in the south, duck hunting is not merely a choice but a southern tradition to take great pride in. For those who are lucky enough to experience a sunrise in flooded timber, well, let’s just say they’re lucky enough.
